Overview

We have designed a rigorous one-day workshop focused on a new approach to the evaluation of esophageal complaints. We will be reviewing new diagnostic tools (FLIP) in conjunction with established esophageal motility (HRIM) and gastroesophageal reflux testing (both 96-hour Bravo and pH-impedance). The conference will include a review and sharing of an esophageal manometry competency tool and assessment. The workshop will focus on how diagnostic tools can define clinically relevant phenotypes and help the clinician target therapy based on the underlying mechanism of dysfunction.

  • Case-based simulations of FLIP, HRIM, and reflux testing
  • Clinical videos of performance of HRIM and FLIP
  • Interactive web-based competency assessment will be provided to all participants and this will be assessed and graded
